The Collector’s Premiere Event: Where Automotive and Horology Converged
By Alexander Cartigan - Chief Editor
There are moments when a brand is introduced. And then there are moments when a brand arrives. On May 1, in Orange County, California, inside the legendary Marconi Automotive Museum, Worn & Driven officially stepped into the world with The Collector’s Premiere, presented by Trusted Smart Chain.
This was not simply an event. It was a statement.
From Vision to Sold Out in 45 Days
Planned and executed in under 45 days, The Collector’s Premiere was never intended to be just an event. It was a strategic launch. A deliberate moment designed to introduce Worn & Driven to the public while aligning sponsors, partners, members, and audience into a single, world-class experience.
The response spoke for itself.
Over 300 curated guests filled the space. The event reached full capacity less than 24 hours before doors opened.
But the outcome was not accidental. It was engineered.
Behind the scenes, the Worn & Driven team deployed a series of hyper-targeted marketing initiatives built with precision. Content creators were engaged early, extending exclusive pre-event invitations across curated audiences.
Internal networks were activated, tapping directly into collector communities, founders, and high-net-worth circles. Social media campaigns were not broad, they were intentional. Focused. Designed to reach the exact audience the brand represents.
This was supported by strategic press releases that positioned the event not just as another gathering, but as a defining moment within automotive and horology culture.
Momentum built quickly.
VIP access sold out in under three weeks from the initial announcement, signaling immediate demand at the highest tier. As the event approached, that demand only intensified, culminating in a complete sell-out just hours before opening.
The same level of intention extended to partnerships.
From the beginning, the objective was clear. Align with brands that reflect the standards and audience of Worn & Driven. Within the first 30 days of publicly announcing the event, sponsorship inventory was fully secured. Not through volume, but through alignment. The demand from companies looking to be part of the platform reinforced what was already becoming evident.
This was more than interest. It was validation.
What started as a concept quickly evolved into something far more powerful. A living, breathing environment where automotive excellence and horology did not just coexist, they converged.
The Red Carpet That Changed the Format
As the evening began just before sunset, Southern California delivered the perfect backdrop.
At the center stood a 30-foot red carpet and step-and-repeat, a concept never executed at this level in the automotive space.
This was not arrival. This was presentation.
One by one, vehicles approached. Lamborghinis. Ferraris. Porsches. McLarens. Each car given its own moment.
Guests stepped out beside their machines as cameras flashed. Media captured the moment while our red carpet host, Andrue Velarde, interviewed our guests on the vehicles and timepieces they brought out for the evening.
On the wrist, Rolex, Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe.
On the pavement, engineering at its highest level.
Then came a defining moment.
Billy Beach and Quinsee Beach of Trusted Smart Chain arrived in a white Ferrari 296 GTS. As they stepped onto the carpet, Kyle Anderson-Mape of Wrist Demeanor delivered a rose gold Rolex Daytona with a chocolate dial in real time.
A red carpet moment, redefined. Something rarely seen, now an iconic moment at Worn & Driven.
From Red Carpet to Living Exhibit
Following their arrival, vehicles were positioned at the museum in a curated sequence, transforming the venue itself into part of the live experience.
Outside, over 50 super and hypercars filled the grounds. The space resembled a private collection rarely assembled in one place.
Sponsor activations elevated the experience:
Lamborghini Newport Beach showcased the Revuelto and Temerario
McLaren Newport Beach presented the 750S
Fast Lane Drive Orange County brought a strong presence across the grounds, including Co-Owner Sam Nordean’s Lamborghini Revuelto
Kovert brought out their best high-end and luxury firearms
Reserve Lounge showcased a Pininfarina Battista alongside a premium cigar experience
Voodoo Defensebrought theirbulletproof Mercedes-Benz S-Class
Big Time Ridezshowcased their McLaren GT
PrimoGilDesignsdisplayed sculptures of motorsports art inspired by nature
As the sun set, the environment transformed. Music carried through the space, led by DJ Sophia Lin and violinist Lilia Valerie. Fire and LED performances by Madie Coryell and Laman Musayeva turned the evening into something cinematic.
Precision Behind the Experience
With an event of this scale and caliber, execution extended far beyond what guests could see. OnWatch, not only as a Platinum sponsor but as a trusted partner of Worn & Driven, provided executive protection for the entire evening.
Security was not an afterthought. It was a priority.
Black suits were positioned throughout the venue. Every entrance, every activation, every moment was monitored with precision. When guests arrived showcasing their most valuable vehicles and timepieces, we ensured that protection was at the forefront.
No corners were cut.
The result was an environment where guests could fully immerse themselves in the experience, knowing that every detail, seen and unseen, had been thoughtfully executed.
Inside the Museum: Where Luxury Converged
Inside the museum’s $70 million collection, the experience deepened.
Guests stepped into a central 360 activation surrounded by icons of automotive history. Ferrari F40s, a Lamborghini Countach, and track machines framed the environment, transforming the space into something immersive and cinematic.
Above it all, the VIP lounge offered a private vantage point. Premium catering. Open bar. Elevated conversation overlooking the entire experience. From this perspective, guests could take in the full scale of the evening, the red carpet, the curated vehicles, and the energy of the crowd below.
The food was exceptional. The music carried the room. Conversations flowed effortlessly. And inside the museum, surrounded by history, the night reached its peak.
As the night carried on, the experience culminated in one of the evening’s most anticipated moments, the VIP raffle.
Curated art pieces were presented to close out the night, bringing the community together once more in a shared moment of excitement and appreciation. It was a fitting finale, one that reflected the essence of Worn & Driven, where culture, craftsmanship, and community intersect.
The Moment That Made History
The McLaren P1.
The Ferrari LaFerrari.
The Porsche 918 Spyder.
The Holy Trinity.
A moment documented less than ten times worldwide.
And on this night, under the lights of the Marconi Automotive Museum, it happened again.
Guests gathered. Cameras raised. The red carpet became a stage for history.
Three machines that represent the pinnacle of modern hypercar engineering. Three philosophies. Three manufacturers, each pushing the limits of performance, innovation, and design in their own way. Together, they form one of the most revered combinations in automotive history.
To see one is rare. To see two is special. To see all three together is something few will ever experience.
What unfolded was not just a highlight of the evening, but a defining moment for Worn & Driven.
A clear statement of what is possible when vision meets execution.
Because this was never just about showcasing cars.
It was about creating moments that people carry with them long after the night ends.
More Than an Event & The People Behind the Moment
This was not just an event.
It was a convergence of collectors, enthusiasts, founders, and partners. A space where automotive culture and horology met at the highest level.
A portion of proceeds from the evening will support nonprofit partners including Junior Achievement, Drive Toward a Cure, and the Marconi Foundation for Kids.
Moments like this are never created alone.
Special recognition to Monique Marconi, whose precision and leadership made execution seamless under an accelerated timeline.
To John Marconi, who saw the vision early and opened both his doors and his trust.
To Colt Marconi, Vincent Marconi, Shannon, and the rest of the Marconi team for their relentless support.
And to the Worn & Driven team, including Anush Gasparian and Ondar Tarlow, whose dedication made this night possible. What unfolded on May 1 was not the result of months of slow preparation, but of relentless execution under compressed time. In a matter of weeks, both operated at full capacity, committing endless hours to bring the vision to life.
From shaping the strategic direction of the event to securing key partnerships, aligning sponsors, and refining the overall experience, their involvement was constant and deliberate. Every detail, from planning and coordination to on-the-ground execution and logistics, was handled with precision. Long days turned into late nights, and late nights into early mornings, all in service of delivering something that felt effortless to those attending.
Their ability to move quickly without compromising quality is what elevated the evening. It was not just about getting it done, it was about getting it done right. The flow of the event, the caliber of partners, the seamless transitions, all of it reflects the level of discipline and focus they brought behind the scenes.
What guests experienced as a polished, high-caliber night was, in reality, the product of intense collaboration, rapid decision-making, and unwavering commitment from our lean, high-impact team who understood exactly what standard needed to be set.
A special recognition to Billy Beach and Trusted Smart Chain as our presenting sponsor. They believed in the vision and helped bring this event to life at the level it deserved.
I would also like to recognize Jonathan Matos and Mohammad Alemam from Lamborghini Newport Beach and McLaren Newport Beach for playing a crucial role leading up to and during the event. Their hospitality did not go unnoticed. From opening their doors to us ahead of time to allowing us to experience and test drive their vehicles, their support was instrumental in shaping the experience.
A special recognition to Logan McJilton, who played a crucial role in sourcing The Holy Trinity.
The Beginning
What happened on May 1 was not the end.
It was the beginning.
A beginning of something far greater than a single night. A foundation for what Worn & Driven is set to become.
Worn & Driven did not just host an event.
It introduced a new standard. A new way to bring together automotive culture, horology, and the people who live at the intersection of both.
A standard built on experience, storytelling, and community.
And if this night proved anything, it’s that the community is not only ready, it’s already here. Aligned. Engaged. And looking for what comes next.
Because this is no longer just an idea.
It’s a movement.
And this is only the beginning.
